UAE: Pakistan tourists can now avail for a 5 -year multiple entry tourist visa, decided after a meeting on the existing visa issues sorted between the UAE ambassador to Pakistan and the Sindh Governor. The resolution comes in handy for travelers as the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi revealed the decision on Tuesday, according to Khaleej Times.  

The recent issues regarding the activities of the Pakistani nationals inside the United Arab Emirates involved in unlawful activities have pushed the authorities for stricter rules. While there was no such restrictions of ‘work visas’ for Pakistanis travelling to the UAE, the rule evidently affected the travelers especially seeking for a much frequent visit. 

The 5- Year Multiple Entry Visas will be issued to the applicant from Pakistan who can avail a visitor visa for tourism purposes, without needing a guarantor or host within the country. This visa will allow several trips for a period of 5 years from the date of issuing the visa. 

As part of the visit, the current visa issues regarding the tourists visa due to fake documents, visa overstays among others were discussed and concluded that there are no visa bans for Pakistani nationals. With the new resolution that comes with its own set of rules and process, Pakistani tourists have to follow through the set terms and conditions in order to apply for the 5- Year Multiple Entry Visas. 

How to Apply for a 5 -Year Multiple Entry UAE Visa?

1. Log in to the smart services system through your UAE Pass or username.

2. Search for the service to be applied for.

3. Fill in the application data, where applicable.

4. Pay the service fee (if any).

2. Submitting the application that fulfils all conditions and documents (if any) to the customer service employee.

Documents Required for Applying the 5 -Year Multiple UAE Tourist Visa

1. A Recent Personal photo.
2. A passport copy valid for at least 6 months.
3. 6 months bank statement.
4. Health insurance.
5. Round-trip ticket.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the new 5 -year Visa policy also requires applicants to submit the following beforehand

• Return tickets
• Hotel reservations
• Proof of property ownership if applicable
• Deposit of AED3,000.

Process and Timeline for 5 -Year Multiple Entry Tourist Visa

The process for applying the 5- year tourists visa can be done digitally through the General Directorate For Identity and Foreigners Affairs GDRFA website, where you can start the process of applying by following the steps 

Step 1: Log in to the service using the UAE Username and credentials 

Step 2: Fill up the application form with the required details 

Step 3: Attach the required documents 

Step 4: Pay Fees (if applicable)

Step 5: Submit the application after going through the form once. 

The timeline for processing the application will be completed around 48 hours. 

⁠Guidelines to Follow for applying the 5 -Year Multiple Entry Tourist Visa

1. Applicants must have a passport or other travel document valid for at least six months and one that allows entry into the country and return to the country where the holder currently resides or from which the document was issued.

2. A travel ticket to continue his journey or a ticket to leave the country.

3. Valid health insurance in the country.

4. Provide documentation demonstrating a bank balance of $4,000 or equivalent in other currencies over the six months before the application’s submission.

5. Remain in the country continuously for no longer than 90 days which may be extended for a similar amount of time as long as the total number of days spent there in a year is a maximum of 180 days.

60-day visit visa fee: AED500

90-day visitor visa fee: AED700
