In observance of Prophet Muhammed’s birthday (peace be upon him), the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has announced September 15 (Sunday) as a Holiday. The Authority announced on X (twitter) platform stating that it has issued a circular to ministries and federal entities regarding the holiday for the federal government for the year 1446 AH in the Islamic Calendar.

Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (Eid Al Mawlid Al Nabawi or Milad) is observed on 12 Rabbi Ul Awwal, which is according to the Islamic Calendar the third month. In line with the Cabinet’s approved official holiday schedule for the government and private sectors for 2024, the holiday for Prophet Muhammad’s birthday will be observed on September 15.
