The Eid 2025 break is finally here. The first big UAE public holiday 2025 after January 1 is Eid al Fitr. There are going to be four days off for Eid as the holy month of Ramadan turns into a 29-day period this time.
Eid 2025 in Dubai starts on March 30, the moon sighting committee has announced. In the Islamic Hijri calendar, months are either 29 or 30 days long – depending on the spotting of a crescent moon on the 28th or 29th day.
Free public parking in Dubai during Eid 2025
The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that all public parking in Dubai is going to be free of charge during the Eid holiday, except for multi-storey parking terminals. The free parking period shall run from the first day of Eid until the third day of the month.
The three official Eid holidays are set to be March 30 until April 1. The exact dates of Eid 2025 could be confirmed on March 29 as the moon sighting committee assembled. March 30 (Sunday) is also a regular no-pay parking day.
But immediately after Eid al Fitr, parking rates in Dubai are going to change. Parkin – Dubai’s leading public parking operator – has confirmed that updated parking rates shall start from April 4. Let us get right into the details.
Dubai parking fees changing next month
Parking fees in Dubai are up for significant changes in the coming month, according to Parkin. The operator is introducing fresh tariffs, including an increase in prices for premium parking spaces. The updated rates are expected to be introduced on Friday.
These premium parking spaces in Dubai are strategically located near public transport hubs, busy shopping areas in the city and business districts. The prices in these spaces shall rise to Dh6 per hour.
Regular parking spaces, on the other hand, shall remain priced at Dh4 per hour. First announced alongside a change to dynamic Salik toll gate pricing last year, the variable structure for parking in Dubai was initially set to be rolled out in March.
Goodbye to full parking spots and blocked roads
This is the ultimate guide you can use for peak and off-peak parking hours in Dubai and corresponding rates. Parking rates are also dependent on the zones you park in. Dubai has four public parking zones: Zone A, Zone B, Zone C and Zone D.
Parkin has also clarified that peak pricing is going to apply to six out of 14 chargeable hours of the day. But the rates are not applicable on Sundays or public holidays. Tariffs during off-peak hours remain unchanged.
