The UAE public holidays 2025 apply to both private and public sector employees. Besides these dates, there are also the 30 annual leaves employees can take in a year.
Thanks to this unique combination of public holidays and annual leaves, UAE residents get an opportunity to take up to 3 different vacations in a year, according to the Khaleej Times.
Nonetheless, the exact dates are likely to be confirmed as the occasions come closer because the UAE relies on moon sightings for several of its major holidays.
UAE Public Holidays 2025 predicted by Leading Astronomer
Ibrahim Al Jarwan, chairman of the Emirates astronomical society, explained that astronomical calculations can be used to accurately determine lunar cycle position.
Speaking to The National, he said the moon’s accurate position can be predicted for up to 100 years in advance but that an official confirmation is required from the Ministry of Justice.
There are elements that are based on over 100 years of documented observations and more than 3,000 documented sightings from different locations, the lead astronomer added.

Resolution for UAE Public Holidays 2025: Check out
The early announcement for UAE public holidays 2025 recorded a fresh resolution too. It is expected to come into effect on January 1, 2025.
The resolution states that the Cabinet has the authority to postpone any of the holidays, except for the couple of Eid holidays, to either Friday or Monday to ensure extended holidays.
But it has been reported that holidays that fall on the same date as other holidays or on Saturday or Sunday cannot be postponed.

Let us give you an example. Kite Beach is one of the prime locations for surfing and kite surfing in Dubai. Besides the beautiful beach is a serene promenade you can use for jogging or relaxing.
The Marina Beach, on the other hand, is a great hangout spot for the Marina folks. It has lifeguard stations, food trucks and a number of prominent restaurants and cafes too.

3. Theme Parks
Open since 2016, Dubai Parks and Resorts is home to 5 theme parks offering thrill rides for people of all ages. Nearby hotels and multi-day passes make it an easily accessible attraction.
Each Park in the Dubai Parks and Resorts complex has its individual timings. It is also important to note here that access to the attractions close 30 minutes prior to the park closing.
Visitors can buy 1-day access passes for one or a couple of parks. One theme park ticket costs Dh 330 and a 2-park pass is priced at Dh 395 – including taxes. There is free parking onsite.

4. Global Village Dubai
I believe you haven’t forgotten about this multi-national family-friendly attraction. Global Village Dubai is all set to reopen its doors this October and is expected to last until May 2025.
Closed for the hot summer months, Global Village is preparing to reopen on October 16. Opening hours for the park are 4 pm to 2 am. Tuesdays are reserved for families and ladies.
The previous season had 2 ticket options. One ticket, valid from Sunday to Thursday but not on public holidays, cost Dh 25. The other any day ticket came at Dh 30 per person.
You can expect dozens of country pavilions, market stalls, international cuisines and other events. People of determination, senior citizens and kids under 3 can enter for free.
