4 March 2026 (4:51 PM): Estonia Launches First Repatriation Flight from Oman to Tallinn on 5th March 2026
The security of our citizens is our highest priority.
— Margus Tsahkna (@Tsahkna) March 4, 2026
Estonia is organizing its first special flight from Muscat to Tallinn tomorrow to bring home our citizens stranded in the Middle East due to the ongoing hostilities.https://t.co/HvCk4LNPHF
Estonia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has organised the first extraordinary repatriation flight from Muscat, Oman, to Tallinn on Thursday, March 5, 2026 to help citizens stranded by widespread Middle East airspace closures. The charter, departing from Muscat Airport, will carry up to 180 passengers and is reserved for Estonian nationals who have registered on the Reisi Targalt travel portal and received direct notification.
Key details include:
- One‑way ticket price of €400 per passenger, plus a location‑based transfer fee.
- The state subsidises around €1,000 per person to cover remaining flight costs.
- Tickets sold exclusively through Novatours, the ministry’s official partner for this flight.
- Travelers who have registered on the ministry’s Reisi Targalt website will receive a direct notification.
- To Register your interest: https://reisitargalt.vm.ee/registreeri-reis/
To support safe, orderly travel, dedicated bus transfers will bring confirmed passengers to Muscat Airport, with seats available only to those holding a ticket for the special flight. Authorities urge citizens not to travel independently to Muscat without a confirmed booking, as places are limited and security conditions remain volatile across the region following U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran and subsequent retaliatory attacks. The ministry has already started preparing additional repatriation flights, with timing and departure points to be determined by each country’s security situation, and will notify people via email and SMS as plans are finalised. Estonians still in the region are encouraged to register on the Reisi Targalt website so they can receive up‑to‑date information and assistance as the government continues efforts to bring citizens home as quickly and safely as possible.

4 March 2026 (2:52 PM): Turkish Consulate in Dubai Resolving Accommodation Issues for Stranded Nationals

The Turkish Consulate General in Dubai has just issued an advisory, asking all its affected citizens in the UAE to share their name/surname, T.C. Identity Number, accompanying persons/children’s ages, and phone number to get better support from the authorities. The Consulate is trying to resolve accommodation issues for multiple stranded nationals.
This comes as the temporary and partial closure of the UAE airspace continues to affect many. Simultaneously, the UAE government has also ordered all hotels to let their guests (affected by the flight cancellations and delays) extend their stays, as it covers their stay and meal expenses. Please send your details to the Turkish Consulate on Emergency Number: Whatsapp/SMS: +971 504598299, +971 502347203.
