The tourism industry in India has been experiencing stunning progress, fuelled by rising disposable incomes and better global connectivity. The country is looking at an expanded presence during the upcoming edition of Arabian Travel Market 2025 in Dubai.
Happening next month, ATM 2025 is expected to lure more than 2,600 exhibiting companies. There could be more than 47,000 people attending the ceremony. ATM 2025 is going to feature at least 161 destinations, reflecting the international scope of the event.
ATM 2025: India’s expanding outbound tourism market
In 2024, Dubai received 3.14 million overnight visitors from South Asia. Indians accounted for a major portion of this number, significantly contributing to the 18.72 million international visitors making a trip to the city, representing a 9% YOY increase.
India’s outbound tourism market is projected to reach $55 billion by 2034, according to Future Market Insights. This progress is majorly supported by increasing demand for international travel, especially among millennials looking for something different abroad.
Furthermore, India has increasingly become one of the most targeted source markets across the globe. More and more destinations are intensifying their efforts to attract Indian tourists and, consequently, ensure a better economic situation.
Arabian Travel Market: Platform for global exchange
Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, Arabian Travel Market, said that India’s expanded presence at the upcoming event next month highlights the country’s rich travel offerings and also serves as a crucial platform for global travel exchange.
India is becoming more prominent for its luxury experiences, cultural destinations and adventure tourism. The country is going to be under the spotlight during the ATM conference programme – featuring 68 sessions across different content stages.
India’s participation in ATM 2025 is notable because of a strong presence from exhibitors such as the Indian Ministry of Tourism, airline carriers Air India Express and Air India, and an expanding representation from regional tourism boards.
