Ready to take on The Extraordinary Challenge? The UAE’s national airline Etihad has launched a one of its kind competition offering Etihad guest members up to 5 million miles. This challenge is open to both existing and fresh members.

For the challenge, you need to fly to each of Etihad’s 15 year-round destinations launching in 2025 by May 25, 2026. These destinations include Phnom Penh, Taipei, Tunis, Sochi, Addis Ababa, Chiang Mai, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Medan and Krabi.

The first member to complete the challenge can get 5 million Etihad Guest miles, the largest prize in the history of the programme. Those securing the second and third positions can get 3 million miles and 1 million miles, respectively.

Etihad launches The Extraordinary Challenge – Ready?

“This challenge embodies Etihad’s purpose to give flight to ambition,” said Mark Potter, Managing Director Etihad Guest. First, Second and Third place is going to be determined by the first 3 Etihad guest members to complete The Extraordinary Challenge.

Etihad Guest miles are precious as they can be redeemed on flights, holidays and a huge range of items – turning miles into unforgettable experiences. The first prize, 5 million miles, can equate to a range of benefits, including

– More than 500 Economy flights

– or, more than 70 trips in Business Class

– or, more than 40 unforgettable journeys in First Class

Participating in Etihad Guest challenge for 5 million miles

The challenge is open to both existing and fresh Etihad Guest members. Members of the airline’s loyalty program need to register on this link to enter the competition, track their progress and be eligible for the grand prize.

You can check out the progress on a dedicated race dashboard, featuring a digital passport that gets stamped as each destination on the list is ticked off. This leaderboard illustrates to members their position in the race, creating a friendly competition.

Etihad is creating a community of likeminded and passionate travellers. Register for the competition as soon as possible. Members are encouraged to use the hashtag #EYextraordinarymiles at the time of posting on social media channels.

5 million Etihad Guest miles up for grabs: Terms and conditions

1. No purchase is necessary to enter Etihad’s The Extraordinary Challenge.

2. This is a game of skill and chance doesn’t play any part in determining the outcome of the competition.

3. The criteria for judging is based on:

– meeting the competition requirements

– time taken to complete the competition

– creative merit and skill as relevant to competition rules

– other aspects

4. The entrant can be from any country across the globe. But the age limit is at least 18 years.

5. The competition started on May 26, 2025, and ends on May 25, 2026.

6. Entry to the competition is free and open to all Etihad guest members.

7. Each entrant is considered a single entry into the competition.

8. The three prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

9. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure they have requisite travel visas, vaccinations, valid documentation, insurance and other travel documents required by the relevant immigration and other authorities at the destination.

Etihad’s The Extraordinary Challenge: 15 destinations

There are 3 extraordinary prizes up for grabs: 5 million Etihad Guest miles, 3 million miles and 1 million miles. Members need to fly on an Etihad operated flight to or from each of the 15 destinations launching in 2025 by May 25, 2026.
