The World’s Largest Natural Flower Garden in the Heart of Dubailand
Dubai Miracle Garden is one of the most extraordinary outdoor attractions on the planet, a genuine record-breaker that transforms 72,000 square metres of Arabian desert into a living, breathing canvas of over 150 million flowers and 250 million plants. Located in Al Barsha South 3 within Dubailand, the garden was first opened on Valentine’s Day in February 2013, and has since grown into a global landmark that draws millions of visitors every season. Now in its 14th season with the theme Blooming Wonders, Endless Memories, it holds three Guinness World Records and remains one of Dubai’s most photographed and most visited attractions.
The concept behind the garden is as ambitious as the city that built it. Developed under an agreement between Dubailand and Dubai Properties Group, and built by Akar Landscaping and Agriculture Company, the project cost an estimated AED 40 million. What is truly amazing about the garden is not only its size but its technology. In a place where rainfall is measured in single digits of millimeters and summer temperatures are above 40 degrees Centigrade, watering 150 million flowers demands the use of an advanced drips irrigation method, where the same water is used again and again and saves about 75%. A team of gardeners works through the night in peak season to maintain and rotate displays, with special installations capable of being designed and set up in as little as 48 hours. Over 120 varieties of flowers are used across the garden, including marigolds, petunias, geraniums, sunflowers, and the region’s first double-coloured petunias.
The Emirates A380 is the undisputed centrepiece of the garden and its most jaw-dropping installation. A full-scale, life-sized replica of the Emirates airline’s flagship aircraft, it is covered entirely in over 500,000 living flowers and plants, with the Emirates logo alone requiring 9,000 flowers. Stretching 72 metres in length and 24 metres in height, it holds the Guinness World Record for the largest floral installation in the world, a title it has held since 2016. Standing beneath its wings in the middle of a desert garden is a genuinely disorienting experience that photographs struggle to capture.
Disney Avenue is one of the most beloved sections of the garden, developed in partnership with The Walt Disney Company. Its star attraction is an 18-metre tall Mickey Mouse topiary built from over 100,000 flowers and plants, weighing approximately 35 tonnes and holding the Guinness World Record for the tallest topiary-supported sculpture in the world. Surrounding it are floral versions of Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and Huey, Dewey, and Louie, making it an absolute favourite with families and children.
The Hearts Passage is among the most iconic and most photographed spots in the garden, a walkway framed by dozens of enormous heart-shaped arches, each covered in thousands of fragrant flowers. Walking through it is a popular choice for couples, and it remains a staple of Dubai’s social media landscape. Similarly, the Butterfly Passage is a beautifully designed walkway framed by large butterfly-wing outlines built entirely from coloured blooms, creating an ethereal corridor through the garden.
The Floral Clock is a 15-metre wide working timepiece covered in flowers, with designs that change according to the season. Its mechanics are imported from the United States and it is powered by solar energy. The Floral Castle is a multi-storey structure built entirely from living flowers, featuring a spiral staircase inside that offers elevated views across the garden and includes a dining facility within. The Big Teddy Bear is a 12-metre tall flower sculpture clutching a large floral heart, one of the most recent additions and a popular photo spot for families. Lake Park is a man-made lake which is encircled with flowers and water elements, providing visitors with some of the tranquil spots of the garden where they can enjoy themselves.
The new season of 2025 has brought the addition of Smurfs Village, wherein Smurf houses made from mushrooms, topiary gardens, and activity areas are located in four separate segments of the garden. New giant floral animal sculptures including elephants and horses have also been installed this season, alongside immersive walkways and themed pathways designed to feel like stepping through a fantasy storybook.
The garden is not purely a walking attraction. A trampoline park with 12 custom trampolines gives children an energetic outlet, while a miniature rideable train and bumper cars, introduced in the 2025 season, add to the family entertainment options. A cultural amphitheatre hosts live performances on weekends, including local musicians, children’s dancers, and puppet shows. A mini golf course is also available for those looking for a light activity between exploring.
Dubai Butterfly Garden, the world’s largest indoor butterfly garden, sits directly adjacent to the Miracle Garden and is a natural extension of the visit. Home to over 15,000 butterflies from 50 different species across 10 climate-controlled domes, it offers a completely different sensory experience and is particularly magical for younger visitors. A combo ticket covering both attractions is available and offers savings over buying separately.
The garden has over 30 food and beverage vendors spread across the property, covering everything from quick snacks to sit-down meals. Recognisable brands including Costa Coffee, Baskin Robbins, and Krispy Kreme operate within the garden alongside local favourites serving shawarma, biryani, and karak chai. Flower-infused juices are a quirky signature of the venue. Outside food is not permitted inside the garden. Souvenir shops and a market-style bazaar sell garden-themed merchandise, dried flowers, seeds, plants, and gifts. Floral tents and gazebos can be booked for private celebrations including birthdays, baby showers, and corporate events.
The garden is well equipped for all visitors. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. A prayer room is located near the main entrance. First aid is staffed by qualified nurses at all times. Baby changing rooms, stroller rentals, and wheelchairs are all available on site, with wheelchair-accessible pathways throughout. Disability access passes are provided, with people of determination entering free. Free parking is available, with paid VIP parking as an option.
The garden operates seasonally from late September to late May, closing through the summer months when temperatures make outdoor conditions unsuitable for flowers and visitors alike. The current season runs from 29 September 2025 to 31 May 2026. Opening hours are 9am to 9pm on weekdays and 9am to 11pm on weekends. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing. The best season to visit this place is from November to March for flowers and cool climate, and the best visiting hours are the early morning hours between 9am to 10am in order to get the perfect lighting for taking pictures without crowds. Weekdays are less crowded than weekends.
Adults (above 12 years) pay AED 100 and children (3 to 12 years old) pay AED 80, and toddlers below three years of age do not have to pay anything. UAE residents will be offered discounts during the promotion period by presenting their Emirates ID. Online booking of tickets is advised to save some time, as well as a small discount on the ticket price. The metro line can be taken from the Red Line of the Metro till Mall of the Emirates and then take RTA bus 105 to the garden in about 20-25 minutes. Taxis and ride-hailing apps including Uber and Careem connect directly. Nearby attractions include Global Village, IMG Worlds of Adventure, and Dubai Butterfly Garden.
