In a post on X, Indian Minister K Rammohan Naidu noted that the flight is going to link the City of Destiny to the UAE and beyond. IndiGo operates 2200+ daily flights, connecting more than 35 international destinations and 90+ domestically.

Last month, IndiGo announced plans to launch direct flights to Fujairah from Mumbai and Kannur from May 15. Fujairah has become the fifth destination in the UAE connected by IndiGo, in addition to Dubai, Sharjah, Ras al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi.
