The UAE started observing Ramadan 2024 on March 11, marking the beginning of either 29 or 30 days of reciting the holy Quran, offering prayers, fasting, practicing self-discipline and self-control, doing charity and becoming more tolerant and compassionate.

The ‘Ramadan in Dubai’ campaign has come in response to the directives of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. It is aimed at ensuring the highest levels of coordination.

In accordance with the campaign, the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation at the Department of Economy and Tourism is offering numerous events and activities until Eid al-Fitr, letting residents and visitors come together and enjoy unparalleled celebrations.

For people of all ages and nationalities, the burgeoning city is offering a variety of Iftar and Suhoor meal options, outdoor Ramadan markets, family entertainment events, community events, and hotel accommodation experiences, enhancing the spirit of communication.

To add to the festivities, traditional entertainment activities have been planned to delight visitors to Al Seef, Al Khawaneej Promenade and Blue waters areas. Children’s favorite characters, Modhesh and Dana, are also expected to appear at prominent malls throughout Ramadan.

Shopping destinations across Dubai offer an impressive array of entertainment options, promotions, prizes and local and international brands. Dubai Festival City Mall is hosting a large Ramadan tent to let guests experience the heritage atmosphere and try out delicacies.

Mall of the Emirates is helping shoppers feel the atmosphere and spirituality through a variety of activities and decorations. It is also participating in the Feed the Future initiative in an effort to reduce food waste by donating surplus food to those in need.
