This holy month of Ramadan, Dubai has turned into a promising destination for joyful celebrations for its residents and visitors through a schedule of events rich in unique cultural experiences and activities, as part of the “Ramadan in Dubai” campaign. The UAE started observing Ramadan 2024 on March 11, marking the beginning of either 29 or 30 days of reciting the holy Quran, offering prayers, fasting, practicing self-discipline and self-control, doing charity and becoming more tolerant and compassionate.
The ‘Ramadan in Dubai’ campaign has come in response to the directives of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. It is aimed at ensuring the highest levels of coordination.

In accordance with the campaign, the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation at the Department of Economy and Tourism is offering numerous events and activities until Eid al-Fitr, letting residents and visitors come together and enjoy unparalleled celebrations.
For people of all ages and nationalities, the burgeoning city is offering a variety of Iftar and Suhoor meal options, outdoor Ramadan markets, family entertainment events, community events, and hotel accommodation experiences, enhancing the spirit of communication.
Exceptional experiences during Ramadan in Dubai
1. Entertainment events
Keep an eye out for exciting fireworks displays in Dubai this holy month.
March 22 to 24 – Al Seef
March 29 to 32 – Bluewaters and The Beach Jumeirah Beach Residence
April 5 to 7 – Dubai Festival City Mall
To add to the festivities, traditional entertainment activities have been planned to delight visitors to Al Seef, Al Khawaneej Promenade and Blue waters areas. Children’s favorite characters, Modhesh and Dana, are also expected to appear at prominent malls throughout Ramadan.
2. Ramadan shopping
Shopping destinations across Dubai offer an impressive array of entertainment options, promotions, prizes and local and international brands. Dubai Festival City Mall is hosting a large Ramadan tent to let guests experience the heritage atmosphere and try out delicacies.
Mall of the Emirates is helping shoppers feel the atmosphere and spirituality through a variety of activities and decorations. It is also participating in the Feed the Future initiative in an effort to reduce food waste by donating surplus food to those in need.
Shoppers spending Dh200 in any of the participating malls have the opportunity to grab cash prices amounting to a total of Dh200,000. The Eid al-Fitr holiday will mark the selection of 22 winners receiving prizes worth between Dh5,000 and Dh15,000. Find more details here.

Dubai hotels are offering a range of stunning promotions for families and friends this Ramadan. It includes hotel accommodation offers and Iftar and Suhoor options. Dubai residents and visitors can try out delicious meals at a group of the city’s finest hotels.
4. International brands presence
Besides the unmissable Ramadan atmosphere in malls and markets, the holy month also lets shoppers purchase exclusive products from some of the most famous international brands, such as Charles and Keith, Steve Madden, Dune London and Level Shoes.
5. Delicious meals
Dubai has always been one of the most prominent dining destinations across the globe. During Ramadan, it offers a range of delicious Iftar and Suhoor options irrespective of the location – be it inside restaurants or in tents spread across the city.
6. Sports and health events
During the holy month, at last but not the least, Dubai is hosting numerous outdoor fitness events such as the ‘Sketchers Performance Run’ series, allowing participants to run or walk on tracks ranging in length from 3 to 16 km throughout the city.
