FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Introduction
FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is scheduled to take place from June 15 at 4 am (UAE time). Al Ahly and Inter Miami shall play the first match of the tournament. Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Athletico Madrid are playing on the same day at 11 pm.
This inaugural tournament is being played on a quadrennial basis. This means some of the top football players globally face the possibility of off-season tournaments in three out of four years. This edition features 32 teams.
Europe is represented by some of its biggest football clubs, such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG. You can expect a lot of popular names on the field this time, including Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Vinicius Junior and more.
Shortly after lifting the UEFA Nations League 2025 title, Cristiano Ronaldo clarified that he is going to remain at Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr the next season. Since Al Nassr has not qualified for FIFA Club World Cup 2025, Ronaldo is not going to play in this edition.
The final match is happening on July 13 (Sunday) at 11 pm at MetLife Stadium in the US. 32 teams are divided into groups of four and after the group stage, only a couple of the best-performing teams in each group shall for selected for the Round of 16.
