ToggleBack in March 2026, Etihad introduced its first flights to Kabul. Initially operating at a frequency of four times, demand for the route significantly exceeded expectations from the beginning. Since the UAE is home to one of the Gulf region’s largest Afghan communities, Etihad’s Abu Dhabi to Kabul route had been expected to hold strong. But many travellers using Abu Dhabi as a transit hub to access Europe and other destinations also found the Kabul flight useful. For this reason, Etihad is doubling its Kabul flights from 15 July 2026.
Basically, Etihad is going to operate a couple of daily flights on the Abu Dhabi-Kabul route each day, making things easier for both the Afghan diaspora in Dubai and international tourists using Zayed International Airport (AUH) as a transit hub for accessible far-off destinations.
Etihad has also optimally decided the flight timings for its double daily Abu Dhabi to Kabul flights from 15 July. You can leave for Kabul in the morning and afternoon periods. Flights for Abu Dhabi, on the other hand, depart in the afternoon and evening hours. The spacious A320 aircraft, featuring eight Business Class and 150 Economy Class seats, is going to take care of the route. Though the Middle East crisis has lost much of its intensity, it is still recommended to keep track of your UAE flight status regularly and make sure that your personal information provided to the airline is up-to-date.

From 15 July 2026, both the Afghan community in the UAE and tourists using Abu Dhabi as a transit hub can access double daily flights to Kabul. The same goes for the other end of the route. EY310, EY311, EY312 and EY313 are going to operate each day from Abu Dhabi to Kabul and vice versa, letting you reach your destination in a short time. Please make sure to book your flight tickets as early as possible. Plus, ensure that the personal information you provided at the time of booking is up-to-date, so that you can get real-time updates from the airline about any flight cancellations, delays and gate changes.
| Flight Number | From | To | Departure Time | Landing Time | Frequency |
| EY310 | Abu Dhabi | Kabul | 2:45 pm | 6:15 pm | Daily |
| EY311 | Kabul | Abu Dhabi | 7:20 pm | 10:10 pm | Daily |

School breaks in the UAE are going to begin soon and many Afghan families in the country are expected to return to their homeland for a short time. Etihad’s double-daily Abu Dhabi to Kabul flights are going to be super helpful in facilitating their journey. But these flights are also going to help many diaspora members return to the UAE, besides ensuring tourists from Afghanistan and nearby countries planning to travel to the UAE, Europe and beyond can access their destination at ease. Early bookings are highly recommended, considering the high demand this route has been seeing since its introduction in May this year. Travel to and from Abu Dhabi is getting increasingly easier as Etihad ramps up its expansion.

Just recently, Etihad also successfully unlocked Eastern Europe. The airline and TAROM have joined hands, letting Etihad’s customers access 11 destinations via Bucharest on a single ticket. This comes in addition to the upcoming launch of Abu Dhabi to Bucharest service on 17 December 2026. This means that from the latter part of this year, the capital of Romania is going to become a much more accessible destination for Etihad passengers in Abu Dhabi.
