Emirates update: One of the busiest airports globally is closed on Friday. Because of a fire at an electrical substation supplying the airport, London Heathrow is experiencing a significant outage, leading to the cancellation of more than 100 flights.
The closure disrupts a major airport for Britain, Europe and on a global scale. In order to maintain the safety of its passengers and colleagues, the airport is going to remain closed until 23 hours 59 minutes on March 21.
Passengers are requested to contact their airline for more information. Emirates – one of the largest international airlines – has issued an important update for anyone scheduled to fly from the London airport or Dubai International (DXB).
