If you are Tourists visiting Dubai and want to avoid long queues at immigration, which can take almost 15 mins to an hour, you’ll be pleased to know that Dubai Airports to Introduce ‘Future of Immigration’ for Hassle-Free travel for Tourists.

According to General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Dubai (GDRFA), this System is termed as ‘Future of Immigration’ will allow travelers to walk through the Airport in seconds without standing in queue at the immigration counters and will allow passengers to travel without hassle of taking their passports as well as showing relevant travel documents as you pass through the all the airports in the UAE.

In a recent discussion with Khaleej Times Newspaper Lt. Hamad Almandoos from GDRFA on the sidelines of the GITEX Global Technology which began on Monday said, “This is a biometric that allow people to travel through airports without any documents,”. “We will place cameras all over the airport that will take photographs as the person walks by and compare it to their documents.” “We have already been trialing the system and it will be rolled out very soon,” “It will have our travelers walk straight to security in just seconds.”

Additionally, to make things easier for Tourists, Abu Dhabi will soon introduce a New Immigration App – “UAE Pass Track” by ICP, which will be launched at the Zayed International Airport (Abu Dhabi) at the GITEX Global technology. The UAE Pass track will help tourists to register before they arrive to UAE, so once you’ve have registered it, you can use the smart gates at Zayed International Airport, and good news you don’t have to wait in queues. This system is already being followed by residents in the UAE.

An ICP Official at the GITEX Global told Khaleej Times “UAE Pass Track is a mobile app which allows tourists coming to the UAE to register before they arrive in the country. Once they are registered, they can use smart gates at Zayed International Airport and don’t have to wait for their turn in queues. Currently, most of the passengers at Zayed Airport are using it. In the next few months, we plan to roll this out at airports in Dubai and Sharjah,”
