Earlier this year, Cathay Pacific had to considerably reduce its Middle East operations, just like innumerable other airlines around the globe. But the regional crisis is gradually subsiding. Therefore, the UAE airspace remains open and Dubai International Airport (DXB) is seeing a notable rise in traffic these days as international airlines return and the peak summer travel is right around the corner. Cathay Pacific is not left behind in this momentum. Headquartered in Hong Kong, the airline is resuming its daily Dubai flights from 1 September 2026.

But you need to hurry up. The Hong Kong to Dubai flight route sees quite a bit of rush from time to time, as leisure and business travellers use it. Cathay Pacific’s Dubai flights are going to resume in a couple of months. But tickets are already up for sale. You can reserve your seat and decide on your meal plans as soon as possible on cathaypacific.com. Simultaneously, the airline is continuing to closely monitor the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, just like other regional and international carriers.
Cathay Pacific Dubai Flights: Rebooking, Rerouting and Refund
Starting 1 September 2026, Cathay Pacific is going to resume its daily Hong Kong to Dubai flights, bringing ease to leisure and business travellers. But the airline is also planning to resume its regular Hong Kong to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia flights from the same date. Tickets are already on sale for these incoming fights, so get your reservations sorted on time. To make things simpler, Cathay Pacific is offering flexible ticket booking policies to its passengers. You can rebook, reroute or get a refund at ease.
But there are some things to take into consideration. Though Cathay Pacific is continuing to take care of your rebooking, rerouting and refund charges for existing bookings, any difference in fare or taxes (original vs fresh itinerary) still applies. Plus, your tickets need to be issued on or before 20 May 2026 and your original travel period needs to be in the 28 February to 30 September 2026 gap. You can change your ticket before 30 September 2026, but your travel must be completed by 30 November 2026. Last but not least, this arrangement is not applicable to Cathay Pacific tickets that have already been fully or partially refunded.
