NAHATÉ Dubai is one of the most distinctive and personal fine dining concepts to open in Dubai in recent years, a family-run restaurant, cocktail bar, and nightlife destination born from the shared vision of partners Jenya Makeeva and Sam Florentsev, who conceived the space as a home away from home rather than a conventional restaurant, and have brought that philosophy to life in meticulous detail across every corner of the venue. 

Located on the entire third floor of the Capital Club building on the Podium Level at Gate Village, DIFC, NAHATÉ spans over 1,000 square metres and is styled as an early 20th-century sitting room reimagined for contemporary luxury, with hand-painted walls by artist Zahar Paints, bespoke carpets, exotic animal bas-reliefs, porcelain ornaments assembled in curated arrangements, and a magnificent Baccarat crystal chandelier as the centrepiece of the main dining room, hanging above a mirrored red table that serves as the stage for one of the most exclusive dining experiences in the venue. The overall effect is of stepping into a private apartment belonging to someone with impeccable taste, money, and an instinct for gathering interesting people around a dinner table.

Restaurant Features and Dining Experience at NAHATÉ Dubai

The layout of NAHATÉ is divided into several distinct areas, each serving a different mood and purpose within the same evening. The bar area, led by internationally acclaimed mixologist Andrei Bolshakov, an ambassador of Baccarat Bar and a veteran of some of the world’s most exciting cocktail programmes, is where guests are encouraged to begin, with four signature cocktails served in crystal glasses from the iconic French house of Baccarat. The Golden Ember, made with bourbon, Hennessy VS, red vermouth, Benedictine, and a coffee tincture served in a Massena Baccarat coupe, is a standout from the cocktail menu, alongside other creative and meticulously constructed drinks built around rare spirits and unexpected flavour combinations. 

The bar flows into the main living-dining room, a generous, open space with lounge and dining configurations that lend the venue a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. Two private rooms are available exclusively for private club members, offering a more secluded and intimate setting for smaller groups and exclusive gatherings. As the evening progresses and the dinner service reaches its later hours, the lighting dims, a resident DJ takes over, and NAHATÉ transitions seamlessly into one of DIFC’s most atmospheric nightlife venues, blending fine dining and dancing in a combination that is more European supper club than conventional nightclub. A Jacob and Co club-within-a-club and the Baccarat Salon add further layers of exclusivity within the overall space.

The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Daniel Baratier, whose culinary career spans prestigious restaurants in Paris including the renowned Sergent Recruteur on Île Saint Louis and Les Déserteurs in the 11th arrondissement, alongside extensive experience across the US, Canada, the Caribbean, and Asia, all of which informs his contemporary European fusion approach to the menu at NAHATÉ. Working alongside him is Brand Chef and Chef Pâtissier Yazid Ichemrahen, an award-winning pastry chef whose career includes the Balmain fashion house, Louis Vuitton, and Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris, one of France’s most celebrated luxury hotels. 

Together, they have built a menu that the owners describe as comfort yet gourmet food, full of flavour and love, created to be shared around the table with loved ones. The menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal ingredients and the chefs’ ongoing creative development, and different menu versions have been designed for different occasions including a dedicated night menu for later evening dining. The main courses are built around premium fresh ingredients, with caramelised grilled steaks, delicately seared fish, slow-roasted poultry, and fresh seafood preparations all central to the kitchen’s identity. 

Every plate is accompanied by artisanal bread with house-made butter, and a curated cheese selection is available as either a prelude or a side. Starters are paired with Dom Pérignon on the signature menu, signature dishes carry the influence of Clase Azul tequila traditions, and the dessert programme is one of the strongest in DIFC, with Chef Yazid’s pastry work ranging from technically demanding French patisserie to more inventive creations that regularly change with the season.

The most exclusive dining experience within NAHATÉ is the Baccarat Chef’s Table, the first of its kind in Dubai, created in collaboration with the French crystal house and sitting at the magnificent mirrored red Baccarat table beneath the crystal chandelier. The experience is available only by special order and features a curated set menu with desserts made to order by Chef Yazid. The seating capacity of NAHATÉ across all areas is approximately 150 guests. 

The dress code is smart elegant and the venue attracts a cosmopolitan, well-dressed crowd drawn from the DIFC financial community and the broader luxury dining circuit. Shisha is available on site, live music and a dance floor are part of the evening entertainment programme, and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible. Free Wi-Fi is available, and the restaurant accepts credit and debit card payments. Staff speak English, Arabic, French, and Russian. The average bill is approximately AED 1,000 per person, positioning NAHATÉ firmly at the top end of DIFC’s dining landscape.

DIFC is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, with the Financial Centre Metro Station on the Red Line a short walk from the Capital Club entrance. Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa are approximately 10 minutes by car, Downtown Dubai is 5 minutes away, and Dubai International Airport is approximately 20 minutes by road.
