Portugal is expected to see a major general strike on 11 December 2025 (Thursday). This planned industrial action has taken a serious toll on international tourism, especially flights. Reports are emerging of multiple flight cancellations to and from Portugal and Emirati flights are also impacted. On account of the strike, Emirates Dubai to Lisbon flights and Etihad Abu Dhabi to Lisbon flights have been cancelled for Thursday.

Multiple Emirates and Etihad passengers are impacted as a couple of the largest international airlines cancel flights to one of the best holiday destinations in Europe. Have your Emirates Dubai to Lisbon flights been impacted?
On 11 December 2025, four Emirates flights on the Dubai to Lisbon route are going to be impacted. These include EK191 and EK193 from Dubai to Lisbon and EK192 and EK194 from Lisbon to Dubai. Emirates passengers connecting through Dubai on flights EK191 and EK193 are not going to be accepted for travel at their point of origin.
This update is coming as one of the busiest travel months has come. More than 10 million people are expected to fly into and out of Dubai International Airport (DXB) in the final month of 2025. The cancellation of the four Emirates Dubai to Portugal flights on 11 December 2025 is definitely going to impact a lot of passengers. But on other days, it is recommended to reach the airport on time or at least three hours before departure as there could be a lot of rush on the road and at the airport, too.
