The ongoing Middle East crisis has been forcing many regional and international airlines to suspend their flights. Singapore Airlines has done the same today, as it announced the cancellation of a couple of Dubai flights until 30 April 2026. The airline took to social media to provide the update, alongside a range of steps its passengers can take to rebook on alternative flights or get a refund.
Let’s understand the entire scenario in brief. Until the end of next month, one of the biggest international airlines has cancelled a couple of its flights on the Dubai to Singapore route, citing the ‘geopolitical situation in the Middle East’. But since the situation remains fluid, other Singapore Airlines flights may also be affected. So far, these SIA Dubai flights are cancelled until 30 April 2026:
- SQ494 from Singapore to Dubai
- SQ495 from Dubai to Singapore
Singapore Airlines Cancels Dubai Flights: Rebooking & Refund
If you are one of the customers affected by the cancellation of Singapore Airlines Dubai flights, you have a couple of options at this stage: rebooking and refund. If you booked your original flight tickets through an agency, please contact your agent for more updates.
1. Please check your Singapore Airlines Dubai flight status on a regular basis.
2. Customers affected by the flight cancellations are going to be accommodated on alternative flights or can seek a full refund of the unused portion of their ticket.
3. Please update your contact details via the ‘Manage Booking’ function.
4. If you booked your SIA flight ticket directly through the airline, please use the Assistance Request Form to seek the refund.
5. If you booked through an agency or partner airline, please ask your agent or purchasing airline directly for assistance.
6. If you are boarding a flight from Dubai, please do not depart for the airport unless you hold a confirmed booking on the limited flights being operated at the moment or have been directly notified by your airline itself.
The Middle East crisis definitely remains tense. But authorities in Dubai and the broader UAE are doing all that is possible on their part to keep you safe and secure.
