Dubai visitor performance by source market

The Mena region is the fifth-largest source of tourists for Dubai, accounting for 12% of the total or 1.232 million visitors. Countries from Northeast and Southeast Asia came next, representing roughly 1.028 million tourists or 10% of the total figures.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries ranked fourth on the list, sending 1.537 million visitors or 14% of the total. The Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern Europe also contributed nearly 14%, totaling 1.505 million tourists.

South Asia occupied the runner-up position, representing 17% of all visitors or 1.848 million. The first spot on the list has been taken by Western European nations. These countries contributed around 2.086 million visitors or approximately 20% of the overall total.

Can Dubai smash last year’s record of 15.37 million visitors?

The aforementioned numbers underscore the enduring status of Dubai as a prominent international tourist destination and reflect the emirate’s effective strategies for luring visitors from different parts of the globe.

Dubai has an endless list of things to do almost every day. The food scene here is also incredible. Therefore, it is not that surprising to find the UAE megacity attracting millions of international tourists every month of the year.

It appears international visitor numbers can conveniently smash last year’s record total of 15.37 million for the entirety of 2023. The stats released by the tourist board also revealed that hotels have been more occupied compared to the same period last year.
