ToggleMark 25 June 2026 as a substantial day for UAE tourism. Since this date, six more nationalities have been able to apply for the UAE Visa on Arrival, reducing documentation and ensuring hassle-free procedures through and through. The Emirati Foreign Ministry has just issued an update, announcing that the country has expanded its VoA policy for nationals of Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Kenya, South Africa and the Philippines, and their accompanying family members. Sounds interesting, right? There is more to this announcement than meets the eye, so read along carefully.
Under the update, nationals of the six countries holding ordinary passports, in addition to their accompanying family members, can get a UAE Visa on Arrival for 14 days or 60 days. But they need to have a valid residence permit issued by the US, a European Union (EU) member state, the UK, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada.
From this announcement, one thing is clear. The UAE is making its visa procedures more flexible and simple, letting tourists from across the globe explore one of the best tourist destinations at greater ease. For example, nationals of Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Kenya, South Africa, and the Philippines can initiate their UAE travel plans this summer season itself. They can explore the Gulf state in sizzling temperatures, a period that often sees lesser footfall but more budget experiences. Indoor things to do in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and other parts of the UAE are going to grab more limelight in the summer, until the cooler months from October to March come in and outdoor experiences regain their popularity.

- AED 250 for UAE Visa on Arrival of 60 days (non-extendable)
It is highly recommended to get your UAE visa scene sorted much prior to your intended travel date, as the UAE gets a lot of attention during cooler months and prices automatically soar high during this peak period. The UAE airspace has been fully open for quite some time, and airlines like Emirates, Etihad and flydubai have considerably resumed their flight operations to different parts of the globe. Plus, Emirates and Etihad have also announced really popular insurance schemes to dissipate all your stress and make sure that your experience is as magical as it is comfortable.
