Sheikh Zayed Road being one of the most Iconic, Busiest and main highways in Dubai. The Sheikh Zayed Road will be closed for two days in November. But Don’t Worry, the Dubai Metro will continue to Run, if you need to get to the Area.
The First date of closure is November 10, Sunday as Dubai Ride 2024 is taking place, an event for all riders of all levels. And the second day of closure will be in November 24, Sunday, for Dubai Run 2024, that features both professional and amateur runners racing along the Iconic Road.
Along the Sheikh Zayed Road, the Dubai Ride and Dubai Run happens once a year giving cyclist and runners a chance to have fun as well as showcase their skills and talents. Plus, this is Free to enter!
Dubai Ride
The Sheikh Zayed Road closure will mostly affect early morning traffic. In November According to Dubai Ride organizers, all the riders are expected to finish their ride by 8:15 Am, so the road will shorty reopen after that.
Route
For Dubai Ride, the 12km ride on the Sheikh Zayed Road will start at Museum of the Future, then Al Satwa, Coca-Cola Arena, Business Bay and Lower Financial Street. There is a choice of 4 km ride which is a family-friendly route through Downtown Dubai.
Dubai Run
And as for Dubai Run, on November 24, the road will be remained closed a bit longer, as the last runners will start the race at 8 Am for the 5 Km race and 7:30 am for 10 Km race, so the road reopening will be a little delayed.
Route
For Dubai Run, the 5 Km race begins in Sheikh Zayed Road near Museum of the Future, the passes through Burj Khalifa then Dubai Opera and ends near Dubai Mall. The 10 Km race also begins near Museum of the Future, then crosses Dubai Canal Bridge along the Sheikh Zayed Road and ends near DIFC Gate.
