The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has formally announced the new RTA Dubai taxi fares on rides that are booked via RTA-approved smart applications, which will be in effect from November 2025. For tourists planning to travel to Dubai, these new Dubai taxi fares will be available upon booking using apps such as S’hail and other authorised e-hailing apps.
The new taxi fares will be based on two key elements when visitors or residents order taxis on smart apps, which are a flagfall fee (starting fare) and a booking fee (app service charge). The overall price will differ depending on the day of the week and time of travel.
The RTA has ensured that all bookings of taxis via the app will be charged at a minimum of AED 13, regardless of the distance and time of travel. This regulation provides uniform and clear Dubai taxi prices in all smart applications licensed by RTA.

Money-Saving Tips for Tourists in Dubai
By scheduling your rides during off-peak periods (10:00 AM – 3:59 PM), tourists can save on taxi fares charged by RTA Dubai since the cost of booking a taxi during this time will be AED 4.0, as opposed to AED 7.5. The morning rush (8:00 AM – 9:59 AM) and evening peak hours (4:00 PM and above) are also effective in cost reduction.
