Indian nationals wishing to travel to Dubai can now do so with much more ease as the UAE government has introduced visa exemptions and extended stay periods for Indian tourists holding valid tourist visas for the UK and EU countries.
According to an announcement made by Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), Indian nationals who possess tourist visas for the UK and EU countries can get a visa-on-arrival facility in the UAE.
Previously, this facility was limited to individuals holding residence or tourist visas for the US, as well as those with residency in the UK and EU. The only condition imposed is that the person applying should have a valid visa and passport for at least six months. A 60-day visa facility can be obtained by these eligible Indian travelers for Dh250.
The ICP also announced a revised fee structure for various services related to visa issuance. For Indian nationals and their family members who hold valid visas, residencies, or green cards from the US, EU countries, or the UK, the fee for a 14-day entry visa is set at Dh100.
They can also extend their stay for an additional 14 days at a cost of Dh250. Furthermore, a 60-day visa is available for Dh250, providing greater flexibility for those planning longer visits.
This updated fee schedule aims to streamline the visa process and make travel to the UAE more accessible for eligible Indian nationals and their families.
By facilitating easier travel, the UAE aims to attract investments, entrepreneurs, and skilled talents from India, further enhancing its status as a global hub for tourism and commerce. This move not only simplifies access for Indian tourists but also underscores the broader vision of strengthening bilateral ties through increased cooperation in various sectors.
