Bilingual Jordanian national Zahedah carries more than 16 years of experience in the hotel and catering sector. He is going to be responsible for developing fresh and existing business for Farnek, focusing on hotels, restaurants and caterers in the UAE capital.
Omar Zahedah to improve Farnek’s share of hospitality market
Markus Oberlin, the Chief Executive of Farnek, highlighted Zahedah’s outstanding track record, emphasizing that the hotel and catering professional has a better understanding of the hospitality sector. “He is ideally placed to capitalize on the bullish market sentiment.”
The number of hotel guests in Abu Dhabi increased YOY by 22% to 1.3 million, research consultancy CBRE estimated in its Q1 2024 market analysis. The emirate seeks to increase its overnight international visitors from 3.8 million last year to 7.2 million by 2030.
Prior to his appointment, Zahedah has held operational and managerial positions at prominent entities. Commenting on his latest role, he highlighted that his objective is to improve Farnek’s share of the hospitality market in the UAE even further.
