Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai is the first Centara resort in the UAE and one of the most exciting family-focused properties in the city. It sits on a prime stretch of the Dubai Islands waterfront, inspired by mythical Thai and magical Arabian adventures. The resort boasts of having 607 rooms and suites in various types like Superior Room (with sizes ranging from 32 to 36 sqm, and featuring views of the city or sea), Deluxe Room, Family Room (including bunk bed arrangement for kids), Mirage Room (providing access to the exclusive Family Lounge) and bigger Suites. Around 90% of the rooms can be interconnected. All rooms come with a private balcony, 50-inch Smart TV, minibar, tea and coffee maker, in-room safe, premium bedding with a pillow menu, bathtub or shower, slippers, complimentary bottled water, free Wi-Fi, and 24-hour room service.
The resort has 5 restaurants, 2 coffee shops, 3 bars and lounges, a beach bar, and a poolside bar. Suan Bua is the main all-day Thai and international restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sheesh is a rooftop Lebanese restaurant with grills, shisha, and evening views. Sands Beach Club handles beachfront casual dining. Uno Mas covers specialty cuisine. The poolside snack bar and beach bar take care of daytime drinks and light bites. Five meal plans are available ranging from room only to Premium Mirage All-Inclusive, which includes all meals across specialty restaurants, selected beverages from 11 AM to 1 AM, Mirage Family Lounge access with afternoon tea and evening drinks, and complimentary ice cream from the ice cream hut between 12 PM and 5 PM.
All hotel guests get complimentary unlimited access to the on-site water park, which includes multiple waterslides, a lazy river winding through the resort, cliff jumping points, a kids’ water splash zone, and a bouncy castle. Three outdoor swimming pools are on the property, including a beachfront pool with slides and a temperature-controlled children’s pool. A hot tub, sauna, and steam room are also available.
The private sandy beach offers sun loungers, cabanas, and a water sports centre with kayaking, sailing, pedal boats, jet skiing, beach volleyball, and diving. SPA Cenvaree is the full-service spa with treatment rooms, couples’ rooms, massage, facials, and body wraps. Beachside massage is also available. Spa Candy is a candy-themed kids’ spa offering age-appropriate pampering treatments, which is one of the most unique family features of any resort in Dubai. The fitness centre is fully equipped and open 24 hours with personal trainers available.
Where Centara Mirage truly stands out is the kids and family experience. Four age-specific kids’ clubs cover every age group. Camp Safari runs supervised activities including arts, crafts, and games. E-Zone is an electronic gaming zone for older kids and teens. Virtual Sports Zone offers interactive sports experiences. The Mirage Family Lounge is an indoor playground with family-friendly check-in and a kids’ play area, accessible for Mirage Room guests. A high rope adventure park with aerial courses and climbing challenges adds adrenaline for older kids and adults. An outdoor playground rounds out the options. Children under 6 stay free when using existing beds, up to 2 per room.
Location and Access
The resort is on the Dubai Islands waterfront, north of Deira. The Gold Souk and Souk Al Marfa are nearby. Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood is about 4 km away. Museum of Illusions is a 10-minute drive. Deira City Centre Mall is a short drive. Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa are approximately 25 minutes. Dubai International Airport (DXB) is 15 to 20 minutes by car. Free Wi-Fi, self-parking, valet parking, daily housekeeping, laundry service, a business centre, babysitting on request, and the CentaraThe1 loyalty programme are all available. Some guests note occasional airplane noise due to proximity to the airport flight path.
