Dubai’s Biggest Club Experience on the 32nd Floor of V Hotel, Al Habtoor City
BLU Dubai is one of the most high-profile nightclubs in the city, a large-format, luxury entertainment venue sitting on the 32nd floor of V Hotel in Al Habtoor City on Sheikh Zayed Road in Business Bay. Positioned as a five-star clubbing experience rather than a conventional nightclub, BLU has built its reputation on three things that set it apart from most venues on the Dubai nightlife circuit: the scale of its production, the calibre of its artists, and the views.
Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap around the club and offer a sweeping panorama that takes in the Dubai Water Canal directly below, the Burj Khalifa in the distance, and the full glittering spread of the Dubai skyline all the way to the Arabian Gulf, a backdrop that makes even the quietest midweek night feel like an event. It has hosted some of the biggest names in global music including Kanye West, Travis Scott, Chris Brown, Drake, Offset, Tyga, Flo Rida, Wizkid, Trey Songz, Rick Ross, Jason Derulo, and Quavo, and celebrity sightings on any given weekend are far from unusual.
The venue spans two floors and is designed around a large central stage that serves as the anchor of the club’s entertainment programming, with an elaborate setup of LED lighting rigs, colourful light installations, dynamic visual displays, and a state-of-the-art sound system tuned for the space. The dance floor surrounds the stage on all sides, while VIP booths and lounge seating are arranged around the perimeter and on the upper tier, giving guests the choice between being in the heart of the action or watching it from above.
An open balcony on the 32nd floor adds an outdoor dimension, particularly popular during the cooler months, and gives the venue a dimension that most indoor clubs in Dubai simply cannot match. The bar is well stocked across spirits, champagne, cocktails, and non-alcoholic alternatives, with premium bottle service available as part of table packages. Drinks are acknowledged to lean toward the premium end of the price spectrum, though guests consistently note that the quality of the experience justifies the spend.
The music at BLU covers a broad spectrum across the week, leaning heavily into Hip Hop, Afro, Amapiano, and international commercial hits as its primary identity, with House and EDM nights woven into the weekly programme. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays are the highest-energy evenings, when the club reaches its fullest capacity and the production scale ramps up accordingly.
Tuesday nights, branded as We Outside, bring A-list Afro, Hip Hop, and Amapiano celebrity guest performers to the stage, and have become one of the most anticipated midweek nights in Dubai’s nightlife calendar. Saturday’s BLU Show is the flagship weekly event, a high-production night that regularly features international artists, elaborate stage performances, and the kind of energy that carries well past 2am. The club draws a cosmopolitan, professional crowd of residents, tourists, and regulars who tend toward stylish, well-dressed, social partygoers rather than an exclusively young student crowd, and the atmosphere is consistently described as electrifying without being chaotic.
Entry policy and pricing vary by night, event, and guest category. Ladies receive free entry on most nights with pre-registration, and a complimentary welcome drink is included on selected evenings. Couples receive free entry on most nights before a set time. Single gentlemen can expect to pay between AED 200 and AED 300 on regular nights, with this rising to AED 300 to AED 400 or above during special events and celebrity performances. Walk-ins are accepted at the bar and dance floor when space permits, though a small entrance fee applies and entry is not guaranteed, particularly on weekends. The minimum age for entry is 21 and valid ID in the form of a passport or Emirates ID is required at the door without exception.
Table reservations are available across multiple tiers. Small Tables for two to three guests carry a minimum spend from AED 1,500. Dance Floor Tables for four to five guests start from AED 2,000. Balcony Tables accommodating six to eight guests begin at AED 4,000. VVIP tables, positioned directly behind the DJ booth or in premium zones, start from AED 10,000. All minimum spends are fully redeemable on bottles, food, cocktails, and shisha, meaning every dirham spent goes toward consumption rather than a flat entry surcharge. Premium champagne labels are available from approximately AED 1,200, with ultra-premium selections exceeding AED 10,000 for the most exclusive bottles.
The dress code is described as Modern Chic and Smart Casual, and is strictly enforced at the entrance. Men are expected to wear collared or button-down shirts, smart trousers or dressy jeans, and dress shoes. Sportswear, caps, kanduras, shorts, flip-flops, athletic wear, and plain t-shirts are not permitted and will result in refusal of entry.
Women are expected to arrive in elegant, club-appropriate attire including dresses and heels, with flat sandals and overly casual wear discouraged. The crowd leans well-dressed on every night of the week, and arriving in smart, stylish clothing significantly improves the entry experience. The best time to arrive is around 11pm on weekdays and between 11pm and midnight on weekends, as the energy builds steadily through the night and peaks between 1am and 3am.
BLU is open daily from 10pm to 4am. Reservations can be made directly via the club’s WhatsApp, phone line, or Instagram, and third-party booking services including Clubbable and Club Bookers are also authorised to handle table bookings. Bookings are strongly recommended for weekends and any night featuring a celebrity or guest DJ performance, as the venue reaches capacity early on these occasions.
Parking is available at V Hotel through valet service, and a public parking lot is located under Sheikh Zayed Road directly across the street. Getting there by taxi or Uber and Careem is the most practical option given the late-night hours, and both services connect directly to the V Hotel entrance on Sheikh Zayed Road. Business Bay Metro Station on the Red Line is the nearest metro stop, a short taxi ride from the venue. Nearby attractions include Dubai Opera, Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Fountain, and Downtown Dubai, all within a 10-minute drive.
