But his fascination truly flourished in Dubai as he started exploring the different labels, rich traditions and global narratives behind each bottle of wine. This inspired a career dedicated to mastering wine and sharing its history.

The current Head Sommelier at Amelia Dubai, Djordje Knezevic, started his career at La Cantine du Faubourg, before taking on increasingly influential roles at Indochine DXB, Fouquet’s by Groupe Barrière and Salvaje & Arrogante Dubai.
In each dining outlet, Djordje thoughtfully curated wine programs and introduced immersive experiences that became popular among both seasoned aficionados and curious beginners. He is going to take on a bigger responsibility at Amelia Dubai.
Djordje is currently required to handle an expansion selection of more than 300 labels. His meticulous pairings are designed to complement Amelia Dubai’s bold culinary concept, a harmonious fusion of global cuisines.
