Established in 2007, Ishraq Hospitality has more than 10 years of experience in operating some of the most prestigious international hotel franchises in Dubai. It is the asset management and hospitality division of the Dubai-based Mohamed & Obaid AlMulla Group.

Ishraq Hospitality announces leadership promotions

Ishraq Hospitality is pleased to announce the promotion of three team members for their unflinching commitment, leadership excellence and impactful contributions to Mohamed & Obaid AlMulla Group’s continued success across the region and beyond.

1. Cluster General Manager – Sylvia Matei

Sylvia Matei

Sylvia Matei has been promoted to Cluster General Manager from Cluster Hotel Manager. Bringing more than 15 years of hospitality leadership experience, she has played an important role in enhancing guest satisfaction.

The team member’s tenure at IHG Hotels and Resorts featured consistent performance in ensuring greater revenue and operational efficiency. In her expanded role, she takes on a strategic position in Ishraq Hospitality’s international expansion.

2. Commercial Director – Ahmad Najib

Ahmad Najib

Ahmad Najib has been appointed Commercial Director, in recognition of his leadership and contributions to commercial performance since becoming a part of Ishraq Hospitality in 2019. He is bringing along more than 18 years of experience.

Ahmad has already been part of reputable brands, such as IHG, Radisson, Marriott and Rotana. He is taking charge of commercial planning for Ishraq’s upcoming operations in Georgia and Egypt, set to let his consistency take the front seat this time too.

3. Senior Marketing & PR Manager – Mohamad Negro

Mohamad Negro

Recognised for his strong impact on brand visibility, digital performance and campaign execution, Mohamad Negro has been appointed Senior Marketing & PR Manager, in another key promotion at Ishraq Hospitality.

Mohamad Negro has been instrumental in managing IHG’s digital tools and platforms. In his current role, he is set to be part of marketing for all eight Dubai hotels and support the launch of upcoming properties in both Georgia and Egypt.

The Chief Operating Officer at Ishraq Hospitality, Joseph Karam, highlighted Ishraq’s deep commitment to fostering a high-performance culture, adding that the three aforementioned team members demonstrated strong leadership and unflinching dedication.
