ToggleThe UAE’s national airline, Etihad just started its regular flights from Abu Dhabi to Atlanta, connecting the Emirati capital to the fifth destination in the US. This launch marks another milestone in Etihad’s expansion of its US footprint.
The inaugural flight from Zayed International Airport to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International landed on July 2. This route launched at a frequency of four flights in 7 days. But record-high load factors and early bookings prompted Etihad to expand.
You can see daily flights from Abu Dhabi to Atlanta commencing from November 2025. Demand from both leisure and business segments for this route has exceeded expectations, firmly confirming Atlanta as a major market for Etihad.

Etihad starts Abu Dhabi to Atlanta flights
Etihad passengers on the Abu Dhabi to Atlanta flight can benefit from the ease offered by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance facility at Zayed International. There are a lot of perks to this facility.
Guests can clear US immigration and customs before departure, land in the US as domestic passengers and save a lot of time on landing in the US. Isn’t it incredible? The UAE to US route is being operated using Etihad’s next-gen Airbus A350-1000.
The Business Class on this aircraft is home to 44 Business Suites, featuring a sliding door for each passenger. In addition to the direct aisle access, guests can also get maximum comfort, a fully flat bed of 79 inches, noise cancelling headphones and ample storage.

Atlanta a significant part of Etihad Guest Challenge
Atlanta in the US is one of the 15 destinations part of the Etihad Guest Challenge. Under this one-of-a-kind competition, Etihad passengers need to fly to each of the airline’s 15 year-round destinations launching this year by May 25, 2026.
The first member to complete the challenge is going to get 5 million Etihad Guest miles, the largest prize in the history of the program. This can be equated to more than 500 Economy flights, or more than 70 trips in Business Class, or something more special.
The Etihad passenger securing the second position can get 3 million miles and the one in the third position becomes the recipient of 1 million miles. The challenge is open to both existing and fresh Etihad Guest members. You can find more details in our article.
