Located on level 1 of The Opus by Omniyat, ROKA Business bay is a prominent luxury restaurant, serving the visitors with authentic taste straight from Japan. It is one of the most architecturally distinctive buildings in and around the Business Bay, designed by the legendary Zaha Hadid. Initially, ROKA was introduced in London in 2004 by celebrated restaurateur Rainer Becker. The Dubai branch is its very first international location, opened to reflect the fifteenth anniversary of the Charlotte Street flagship. Contemporary Japanese robatayaki cuisine is placed at the heart of the experience, where an open flame grill is positioned among the diners, adding warmth, theatre and connectedness in very visit. A terrace wrapping around the building opens up panoramic views of the Business Bay skyline and the Burj Khalifa. The restaurant acts as a backdrop that attracts couples, families, and even corporate groups. A rating of 4.4 out of 5 is held on Google across 1,290 reviews and a 4.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor across 175 reviews. The Time Out Dubai has also recognised the restaurant as one of the city’s best.

The menu is widely spanned across different Japanese flavours, with few experiments and fusions. Signature dishes from the robata grill include black cod marinated in yuzu miso, lamb cutlets with Korean spices and sesame cucumber and rosuto bone marrow served alongside miso buns. The celebrated ROKA platter featuring Tuna, salmon aburi nigiri and freshwater eel, is a must try. From the sushi counter the must try options include yellowtail sashimi with yuzu-truffle dressing and king crab, black cod and prawn dumplings with roasted chili dressing and much more. One can contact the restaurant for home catering, that are also offered for private parties and other celebrations.

A weekly calendar keeps the restaurant lively throughout. The Donburi Business Lunch runs Sunday to Friday from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm, with the KUSA package starting from AED 295 per guest. Happy Hour runs daily from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Teishoku Set Menus with both classic and Premium levels are available, starting from AED 125 and AED 180, respectively. The restaurant is built in a way that offers 100 seating to the guests and 142 standing space.

Beside the main dining room, ROKA also has a bar, set in an intimate, counter-seated with a capacity of 40, inspired by Tokyo’s hidden izakaya bars. Japanese whiskey sits prominently across the back bar, alongside a specially selected sake collection, many bottles imported exclusively for Dubai. The signature cocktail menu reflects Japanese highball culture, with all sodas carbonated in-house and ice hand-cut into spheres or blocks, then stamped with a bespoke Samurai seal. Highlights include the ROKA Highball with Suntory Toki, Palo santo, jasmine and much more.
