A Michelin-Starred Beachfront Urban Resort on Jumeirah Beach Road

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is the brand’s first hotel in the Middle East and one of the most acclaimed luxury beachfront resorts in the city, sitting directly on Jumeirah Beach Road in the prestigious Jumeira 1 neighbourhood. Designed by acclaimed architect Jeffrey Wilkes, the resort overlooks the clear blue waters of the Arabian Gulf on one side and Dubai’s glittering skyline, dominated by the Burj Khalifa, on the other.

With a Michelin-starred restaurant, a 2,000 square metre destination spa, five outdoor pools, and a private beach, it is consistently recognised as one of the finest hotels in the UAE and holds a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice award. The hotel is also a leader in eco-conscious luxury hospitality, having eradicated single-use plastics across its premises, introduced a hydroponic farm on site that supplies fresh organic produce to its restaurants year-round, and uses exclusively cruelty-free products across all guest room amenities and spa treatments.

The hotel has 178 spacious rooms and 78 elegant suites, each with floor-to-ceiling windows offering either Arabian Gulf or Dubai skyline views, and most with private balconies. Room categories begin with the Superior Room at 55 square metres, with large windows overlooking the city and a marble-clad bathroom with a separate bathtub and rain shower. Deluxe Rooms at 53 square metres offer private balconies with either sea or Burj Khalifa views. Premier Rooms feature stunning sea views through floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto a large balcony.

The Mandarin Panoramic rooms have distinctive L-shaped balconies with sweeping city vistas, while the Mandarin Sea Front Suites deliver equivalent panoramas directly over the Arabian Gulf. All suites come with deep soaking bathtubs, separate living and dining areas, and select suites feature private steam rooms. The accommodation culminates in the Royal Penthouse, the most expansive and opulent offering in the property. Club Rooms and Suites include exclusive access to The Club Lounge, a sophisticated venue with spectacular Dubai skyline views offering complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails and canapes, and complimentary in-room Wi-Fi.

All rooms across every category are fitted with Statuario marble bathrooms, floating baths, rain showers, towel warmers, twin sinks, flat-screen televisions, minibars, coffee machines, tea and coffee making facilities, and luxurious Natura Bissé toiletries. Complimentary dining is available for children under four, and a kids’ menu is offered across all restaurants. Pets are not permitted.

The hotel has six restaurants, bars, and lounges headed by internationally acclaimed chefs. Tasca by José Avillez is the hotel’s signature Michelin-starred restaurant, a contemporary Portuguese dining destination set on the sixth floor with poolside and sea views, serving a menu built around ingredients sourced directly from Portugal and prepared with a modern, creative touch. The wine list features the largest selection of Portuguese wines in Dubai. Tasca is open for lunch, dinner, and a Friday brunch. Netsu by Ross Shonhan is a Japanese Warayaki-style steakhouse, the first of its kind in Dubai, where chefs grill meats and seafood over dry straw flames in an open kitchen, creating a theatrical spectacle that matches the quality of the food. The menu covers Warayaki grills, sushi and sashimi platters, and Japanese sharing plates.

A dedicated sake sommelier assists with wine and sake pairings from approximately 70 labels. A Saturday brunch at Netsu is available from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, priced from AED 450 to AED 550 per person. The Bay is the hotel’s informal all-day dining restaurant on the ground floor, with show kitchens, international cuisine spanning South American ceviche to Middle Eastern grills, and generous indoor-outdoor terrace seating. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a relaxed family-friendly setting. Noor Lounge is the hotel’s elegant lobby lounge offering afternoon tea, light refreshments, and creative twists on classic coffee, including a Persian iced latte with rose and cardamom-infused milk and a hibiscus black coffee.

Sun Vibe is the poolside bar serving cocktails, mocktails, salads, and light bites throughout the day. The Mandarin Cake Shop is the hotel’s patisserie, offering a tempting selection of handcrafted cakes, chocolates, pastries, and seasonal treats. Casa Amor, the bohemian-inspired social beach house concept, adds a lively dining and entertainment option with an artistic spirit. Beluga, a dedicated caviar bar, provides one of the most indulgent niche dining experiences on property.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira spans 2,000 square metres and is one of the most comprehensive wellness facilities in Dubai. It features nine treatment rooms including two couples’ suites, a dedicated Hammam-style suite, and a luxurious VIP suite. Extensive heat and water facilities include indoor vitality pools, dry saunas, steam rooms, heated relaxation lounges, experience showers, and ice fountains.

Treatments draw on a blend of Oriental heritage, Dubai’s cultural traditions, and modern technology, with signature offerings including a treatment using Emirati drumming to heal the body, meridian-focused massages, and a Digital Wellness Escape designed to relieve the effects of frequent digital device use. The state-of-the-art fitness studio is equipped with Technogym and OUTRACE equipment, offers personal training and group exercise sessions, and is complemented by beach-based fitness classes. A fully equipped hair salon is also available.

The hotel has five outdoor swimming pools, including an infinity pool on the sixth floor with expansive sea and skyline views. Private daybeds and cabanas are available around the pools and on the private beach, served by dedicated beach butlers. Complimentary non-motorised water sports including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and water biking are available from the beach.

A jogging path runs along Jumeirah Beach for those who prefer their exercise on foot. The Little Nomads Kids’ Club caters to children aged 3 to 10 with a daily calendar of interactive activities, arts and crafts, games, and themed experiences, making the hotel a strong choice for families. A dedicated children’s pool is also available.

For business and events, the hotel has four elegantly appointed meeting rooms that benefit from natural daylight and can be divided into seven separate spaces, accommodating small meetings, workshops, and private events. A business centre is available. Additional services include complimentary valet parking, 24-hour room service, dry cleaning and laundry, a gift shop and newsstand, a concierge team, currency exchange, and airport transfers available on request.

The hotel also has a beautiful signature fan artwork in the lobby created by Dubai-based Emirati designer Aljoud Lootah, drawing on traditional Emirati craftsmanship and local heritage. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out at 12 noon. Buffet breakfast is served daily from 6:30am to 11am.

Located on Jumeirah Beach Road, the hotel is 820 feet from Mercato Mall, a 3-minute drive from La Mer, 15 minutes from Downtown Dubai, 15 minutes from Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, and around 25 minutes from Dubai International Airport. City Walk is 5 minutes away. Jumeirah Mosque is within a short drive. The hotel sits 5 minutes from DIFC and 10 minutes from Dubai International Financial Centre.
