What is Thailand Airports’ Revised Service Charge Going to Be?
From 20 June 2026, airports in Thailand are going to increase their Passenger Service Charge (PSC) for international departing passengers (both Thai and foreign nationals) from 730 Baht to 1,130 Baht per person. This is a spike of more than 50%. The domestic PSC, on the other hand, is not going to see any changes and shall stay at 130 Baht per person. Which Thailand Airports are Affected?
In total, six Thailand airports are going to see a rise in the Passenger Service Charge (PSC) to 1,120 Baht. These airports are managed by the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), including:
- Suvarnabhumi Airport
- Don Mueang International Airport
- Chiang Mai International Airport
- Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai International Airport
- Phuket International Airport
- Hat Yai International Airport
Do I Need to Make a Separate Payment for Thailand’s PSC?
You don’t, actually. Thailand airports’ Passenger Service Charge (PSC) is included in the airfare at the time of ticket purchase. This means that you do not need to make any separate payments at the airport. From 20 June 2026, tickets issued for departing passengers from the selected six airports are going to reflect the change. But tickets purchased before the effective date are not going to be affected. You can contact your airline or booking agent for any clarity. Please keep in mind that you are not supposed to pay the PSC at the airport, since it is added to your airfare only. Therefore, if anyone tries to scam you, you can treat them better!
