ToggleYour plans could be up for a slight change, because the Dubai-based Emirates has just announced a Manchester Airport terminal change. For all the people flying on the airline from Dubai to Manchester, Emirates flights have shifted operations to Terminal 2 from 1 ahead of the busy travel season.
This means that for all the Dubai to UK tourists, some changes need to be incorporated into their plans as they need to factor in the relocation to Terminal 3 into their itineraries. Fortunately, Manchester Airport terminals are not located too far from each other, and one can glide from one to the other in a short time. Let’s understand the situation.
Emirates Dubai to Manchester terminal change update
Emirates is one of the largest international airlines and frequently operates flights to and from Dubai to Manchester, and other parts of the UK, such as London and Birmingham. Starting 18 November 2025, Emirates Dubai to Manchester flights have been seeing a change in terminals at the busy Manchester Airport, one of the busiest transport hubs in the country.
Replacing its earlier operations in Terminal 1, Emirates flights are going to operate to and/or from Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport. In order to ensure a seamless transportation for all Dubai to UK tourists, the airline has issued a set of recommendations.
1. Do not miss checking Terminal 2 location beforehand
Rule Number 1 has to be the most important suggestion. To ensure a smooth departure, it is recommended checking the location of Manchester Airport Terminal 2 ahead of your flight’s departure from Dubai International (DXB). Transferring from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 or 3 should not take more than 5-15 minutes.
2. Looking for Manchester Airport lounge access? Here is an update
Currently, an Emirates lounge is being built at Terminal 2 of Manchester Airport. You can expect it to open up mid-2026. In the meantime, there is another incredible option to try out. Eligible Emirates customers can relax in the 1903 Lounge.
3. Have you booked Emirates chauffeur-drive service?
If you have booked your Emirates chauffeur-drive service at Manchester Airport, there is no need to be alarmed because of the terminal change. Your local partner is going to keep you in the loop for any possible changes to your scheduled pickup time and more.
Nonetheless, Emirates is not the only flight to be seeing the Manchester Airport Terminal Change. There is another UAE-based airline in a similar situation. It is Etihad, based out of Abu Dhabi, maintaining the changed terminal operations since 12 November 2025. There are other airlines, too, such as Finnair, Luxair, Icelandair, Gulf Air and Turkish Airlines all making the terminal shift as Manchester Airport seeks to bring better facilities to its passengers.
